Roasted Smoked Butternut Squash Seeds

When you make any kind of squash, not just pumpkin, save the seeds! You get a nice crunchy, salty bonus snack out of it. The seeds actually are a great source of protein, magnesium and iron. Plus, it satisfies the salty, crunchy craving without eating chips. It might seem alarming how much fat there is for each serving, but it’s the healthy kind of fat.

Moroccan Spiced Quinoa Bowl

Kefta is a Moroccan spice blend that is most commonly used to season meat for street food. It has a very subtle heat to it, goes well with practically any protein and an easy way to add a ton of flavor without adding calories. I got mine in a Try the World box and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. If you can’t find it at the grocery store, you can make it at home (makes 5 ¬†tbsp):

Hi there, 2017! I’m so glad to see you!

I don’t know about you guys, but I was so ready to say goodbye to 2016. But, as with the start of every new year, it’s time to focus on New Year’s resolutions! This year, mine are:

  2. Eat healthier, more wholesome meals
  3. Waste less food!
